The elusive case

Sea+ease= Sease Created by Franco and Giacomo Loro Piana, avid sailors and heirs to the eponymous firm founded in 1924, this new Italian style- fashion-performance label is geared to athletes fresh off their snowboards or their boats and headed for some friendly après-ski or après- spinnaker time, suffused with contemporary elegance. Sea, mountains, nature: their exclusively masculine concept has expanded to an urban wardrobe ranging from cashmere and merino blends to unusual high-tech fibers. Their first winter collection includes a dozen mix-and-match basics, in a narrow color range that includes a bright orange shade: jacket, vest, sweater, tracksuit, polo shirt, coatall folded and packed away in a travel bag made from recycled sails. An added plus: inside, along with the necessary impedimenta, is a list of the races in which the specific sailboat participated. Set up in a two-floor pop-up store designed by architect Sebastiano Tosi in the middle of Milan’s Brera pedestrian area, Sease, which also has an efficient online store, has settled comfortably into its new decor.
