Tara, lucky star

The four Tara homes in New Delhi, supported by Onyva, provide residential accommodation for 65 extremely vulnerable children aged 2 to 20. Tara (meaning “star” in Hindi) ensures that each of these young residents, placed in homes by the Indian courts, enjoys a balanced lifestyle and access to treatment in a family-like environment. The children also have high-quality schooling and extracurricular activities, to give them confidence and offer them a decent future. Set up eight years ago by an educational specialist from the French justice ministry’s protection of minors division, the Tara projects are approved in India by the Ministry of Women and Child Development and sponsored by the French Embassy. The Air France Foundation supports the Onyva association in its efforts to help combat the social exclusion of street children. You too can sponsor a Tara child.
