Mélanie Laurent, lever de rideau

Places, please! His name is Ben. He looks like the guy next door, and yet there’s something different about him. People who’ve met him call him the Messiah, no less, a modern-day Jesus and improbable hero who casts a light on the world we live in, complete with his fears, aspirations and contradictions. This is the theme of The Final Testament of the Holy Bible, a novel by James Frey adapted for the stage by Mélanie Laurent. The play stars Jocelyn Lagarrigue (who works regularly with Wajdi Mouawad), Lou de Laâge (L’Attente, Les Innocentes) and Gaël Kamilindi, of the Comédie-Françaisebegins Feb. 1. Air France is a partner.
